Historical BSI feedback

“Within a few sessions my execution shifted from scattered to focused, improving prioritization, ownership, focus, and decision quality.”
Naina Roy ChaudhuryWorkforce Strategy Leader · BSI Batch 1

Feedback on an earlier BSI programme. This is not a result from the Sankalpa app.

I built BSI to help you diagnose that obstacle, choose an approach and test it. In Sankalpa, you build your strategy, put it to work over 90 days and bring the evidence to my two scheduled personal reviews.

Common strategy mistakes: three business examples

Before the next commitment

Could your next move
repeat the same mistake?

Many strategies fail earlier, when the problem is misread. Before deciding what to do, ask what is actually stopping progress.

01

More ads. The same unanswered enquiries.

You increase the budget while existing enquiries still fail to become orders. More traffic could bring more of the same.

What stopped the last ten qualified enquirers from buying?

02

Another hire. The same approval queue.

You add capacity, but quotations and routine work still wait for you. The extra salary may leave the bottleneck untouched.

Is work waiting for more hands, or for clearer authority?

03

More targets. No agreed approach.

The team knows the revenue number, but not which customers to prioritise, what to change or what work should stop.

Can each person explain how their next action addresses the same obstacle?

What makes an action plan a strategy?

The strategy you will build

What will you do differently?
And why should it work?

“Grow sales” is a goal. “Post every day” is an activity. A strategy connects the obstacle, your chosen approach, its critical assumption and the work that puts it into practice.

In BSI, Maximum Friction means the obstacle that most restricts progress in the challenge you are examining. The single point of resistance is the specific blockage you investigate first, rather than spreading effort across every symptom.

The seven-stage BSI method was developed by Venkat Murthy. BSI's emphasis on diagnosis is consistent with the diagnosis-first approach to strategy discussed by Richard Rumelt. Bharateeya discernment asks you to consider context, strengths, people and the consequences of action.

  1. The obstacleWhat is getting in the way, and what have you observed?
  2. The approachWhere will you focus, why this route, and what will wait?
  3. The assumptionWhat must be true, and what small test could challenge it?
  4. The work and reviewWho does what, by when, and what evidence would change the approach?

Sankalpa saves your strategy worksheets and action plan so you can review how these parts fit together as implementation unfolds.

01

Identify the obstacle.

Sankalpa’s guided worksheets help you examine the recurring problem and record the evidence your strategy must address.

02

Choose and test your approach.

Compare approaches, choose what to do or defer, and design a small test of the assumption your strategy depends on.

03

Build your strategy and action plan.

Sankalpa brings your strategy work together and uses AI assistance to propose a Build / Fix / Scale action plan. You adjust and confirm it. Record actions and weekly reviews. Venkat reviews your implementation after two full weeks with the required evidence, then your Day-90 outcome.

Explore the seven-stage BSI method

Seven BSI stages

The seven-stage BSI method,
developed by Venkat Murthy.

Each stage builds on the work before it. Apply the sequence to one business, career or personal challenge you can influence.

  1. Drishti · See clearlyFind the real obstacle and record your starting measure.
  2. Nischaya · Choose a directionCompare approaches, accept the trade-off and commit.
  3. Bodha · Understand the peopleIdentify whose support matters and what to ask of them.
  4. Swadharma · Use your strengthsBuild on what you can do and guard against its risks.
  5. Margarekha · Map the next movesPut actions in order, each with an owner and a date.
  6. Pramaan · Test your assumptionRun a small real test and record what happened.
  7. Sadhana · Put it into practiceConfirm your plan, review weekly and assess Day 90.

After you confirm the first six stages, Sankalpa’s AI assistant proposes an action plan. You adjust and confirm it, carry out the work and review the evidence. Venkat’s first personal review follows two full implementation weeks with the required action log and weekly reviews. His second examines your Day-90 outcome.

The creator of the BSI strategy method

Meet Venkat Murthy.

I’m a strategist and creator of Bharateeya Strategic Intelligence. My work begins with the real problem: what is holding progress back, what evidence supports that diagnosis and what approach deserves a test.

In Sankalpa, I personally review how you put your strategy to work after two full implementation weeks with the required evidence, then examine your Day-90 outcome.

Before you commit

What are you signing up for?

₹19,999 + GST, one-time, 90 days. Your programme runs for 90 consecutive days from verified payment. No automatic renewal.

How is Sankalpa different from the free worksheet or my own AI?

The free worksheet gives you starter questions. You can reuse it, keep your own copy and use your own AI. If you can organise your tests and follow through yourself, that may be enough.

Sankalpa adds all seven guided BSI stages, work saved in your account, six completed AI plan versions, an action log and weekly reviews over 90 days. You adjust the plan, test it and implement the actions. Venkat reviews your implementation after two full weeks with the required records, then your Day-90 outcome. You are paying for that structured programme and those two reviews.

Compare the free worksheet and Sankalpa
How does Sankalpa help me build my strategy?

Sankalpa guides you through seven stages for one business, career or personal challenge. Build the basis for your strategy by examining the obstacle, approach, people, strengths, dependencies and critical assumption. After you confirm the first six stages, the app’s AI assistant proposes a Build / Fix / Scale action plan. You adjust and confirm it, implement the strategy, record actions and review the evidence.

Unlimited worksheet edits and six completed AI plan versions, including revisions, are included. Failed plan generations do not use a version.

How much time should I allow?

A weekly review takes about 10 minutes. Daily check-ins are optional. Time for the test and implementation depends on the challenge you choose.

When will Venkat personally review my work?

The first personal video review lasts 30 minutes. Request it after two full weeks of implementing your confirmed V7 plan, with your action log and two completed weekly reviews at least seven days apart. These weeks begin with implementation, not payment. The appointment is arranged for a mutually available time.

The second personal review lasts 20 minutes and examines your Day-90 outcome. One consolidated clarification after each review is included, up to 10 minutes in total across both reviews.

What support is included?

Account, payment and programme support is included. Strategy work and review requests belong inside the app and the scheduled reviews. Ongoing consultation or personal WhatsApp coaching is not included.

Who is it suited to?

People willing to build a strategy for one challenge they can influence, try a small real-world test and review what happens. It does not promise a particular result. It is not therapy or medical, legal or financial advice.

What happens to my work and personal information?

Worksheets and plans are saved in your account. With your explicit consent, your challenge worksheet content is sent to OpenAI for plan generation. You can download your work, or contact support about access, correction or deletion, subject to the retention requirements explained in the privacy policy.

Your saved work remains available to read and download after the programme expires.

Read the privacy policy →
Can I request a refund?

The policy allows a refund request within seven days of payment, before your first successfully generated AI plan or any personal review or consultation. Read the full conditions before paying.
